The instructors of Labrador-Guide Dog are working in three Polish cities: Poznań, Lódź and Szczecin. These are also the places there we look for puppy risers for our guide dog puppies
These dogs will stay with their puppy risers until they’ll be 18 months old. During this time the instructors are visiting them and assist in the work on their skills needed to become a guide dog. This is the first part of the training. Next will be the second part, the specialized training given by the Foundation’s instructors
At the end of October 2006 yellow lab Eddie and black lab Brendy moved to their new homes – Eddie to puppy riser Anna Leporowska in Poznań and Brenda – to puppy risers family Namiotko in Szczecin.
On October 25th, 2006, during the meeting held in Stary Browar in Poznań, where the program “Pomóżmy Razem” was presented, two new puppies were donated by sponsor Kimberly-Clark, the producer of Velvet. The puppy riser of Jive is Agnieszka Urbańska, Poznań and the puppy riser of Buster is Mikołaj Napieraj’s family, Szczecin.
In April 2006 Coffee was transferred from Poznań to Szczecin and stays with Ms. Teresa Sekuła.
February 2006. There are new guide dog puppies: Feliks (puppy riser Mr. Radosław Jędrzejczak), Gambia (puppy riser Ms. Katarzyna Kasatkin) and breeding bitch Ghana (puppy riser Michał Chciuk). All three of them live in Poznań.
In November 2005 two new puppies were bougth: Cejlon and Coffee. Cejlon (his puppy risers called him Sajgon because of his temperamental feature) lives with the Bejbaks family, Poznań and Coffee stays with Ms. Monika Zalewska’s and her beautiful cats.
October 2005. The Foundation bought a new chocolate lab bitch Wiki. Puppy riser is Ms. Ewa Berdyszak, Poznań.
In August 2005 a new bitch Rozalka was donated by Magdalena Lubbe, Poznań. Puppy riser is Ms. Emilia Śliwczyńska, Poznań.
In May 2005 Niva was transferred to Łódź. The new puppy riser is Ms. Joanna Chołdyk-Hasiura and her family.
In May 2005 Norek was transferred to Szczecin. He was living in Poznań with Ms. Agnieszka Skrzypiec. In Szczecin Norek stays with the family of Magdalena Łysakowska. This was the beginning of a new step in his life. Now he starts the special training how to help vision impaired person. The trainer is Wioleta Gawłowska.
In March 2005 were bought two new puppies: Yuma and Yukon.
February 12, 2005. Two new yellow labs went to Łódź: Tanken – puppy riser Milczak’s family, and Tobby – puppy riser Pomykalski’s family.
January 15th, 2005. Two bitches arrived to Szczecin: Issuna (black lab) – puppy riser: Mikołaj Napieraj and his family, and Iravadi (yellow lab) – puppy riser Colton E.Butler.
September 2004. We got a new puppy, Panda. New puppy riser: Tomasz Fibich, Poznań.
In August 2004 two next bitches were purchased: Queen and Rosita.
The puppy riser of Queen became Barbara Wiaranowska, and of Rosita Justyna Kuźniak, Poznań.
In July 2004 we got two new dogs: one of them is Norek – puppy riser: Agnieszka Skrzypiec, Poznań (previously Nelson’s puppy riser). The second dog, chocolate lab Fred, stays with Elżbieta Kunert’s family, Poznań.
Dogs count on May 31st, 2004: 3 dogs with puppy risers in Poznan and 2 dogs in Łódź. In Łódź there is also the Foundation’s breeding bitch.
Ms. Beata Radomska has donated Niva, a bitch from Górska Fantazja Breeding. Puppy risers, Joanna Szorcz and her family, signed the agreement on May 10th, 2004.
In March 2004 an agreement was signed between the Foundation and Ms. Anna Mazur for the care of Kama, a bitch from the Kociokwik Breeding. Kama was bought and donated to Foundation by Mr. Łukasz Trojnarski from Poznań.
W dniu 6 marca 2004 Nil-pies z Poznania, zmienił swoich opiekunów (dotychczas opiekowała się nim Wiesława Kukucka) i został przeniesiony do Łodzi.
Jego nową rodziną została rodzina Bogumiły Feret.
On March 6th, 2004 the Nil puppy changed his raiser and was transferred from Poznań to Łódź.
Now he is under the care of Ms. Bogumiła Feret.
At the end of 2003 the Foundation received one more dog from Górska Fantazja Breeding, the bitch Ira. Instructor Gabriela Prus takes care of Ira. Ira will become a breeding bitch and will also get additionally the guide dog training
The next puppy risers is the family of Angelika Skipor-Repotowska, Łódź. She takes care of Jantar, a dog from Górska Fantazja Breeding. The agreement was signed on November 21st, 2003.
On July 20th, 2003 an agreement was signed between the Foundation and Mrs. Wiesława Kukucka, Poznań. She had to take care of Nil, a dog from the Bellus Breeding. The next family, who signed the agreement on July 24th, 2003 was the family of Agnieszka Skrzypiec, Poznań. They had to take care of Nelson, also from the Bellus Breeding.
The Foundation initiated a new program – “Become a friend of the Foundation”.The aim of this program is to enable guide dog teams to enter shops, institutions, banks and other public places. All agreeable to this idea places have special stickers placed at the entrance
