Become a volunteer

The Foundation initiated in Poland a new kind of volunteering. Puppy risers’ families play a big role in the process of rising and training guide dogs. They are taking care of our guide dog puppies for about 12 months. During this time the puppies submitted to a so called “socialization”.. The families take care of them, travel by buses and trams, enter various institutions, offices and shops. They are assisted in this process by Foundation’s instructors, who are visiting the families regularly. After this period comes a new phase – the training to become a guide dog, which takes about 6 months. The Foundation covers all puppies’ living and veterinary care costs.

Because of the fact that the Foundation’s headquarters are located in Poznań, and its branches in Łódź and Szczecin, we invite families from these cities to work with us as puppy raisers.
